On Friday 2nd November 2018 & Saturday 3rd November 2018, History was made at the SVT Television Studios in Gothenberg in Sweden as the dream and vision of Swedish Performance Artist Andjeas Ejiksson was brought to reality.
Commissioned by the Public Art Agency in Sweden and in turn funded by the Danish Arts Council, the Television without Frontiers project is based on the 1989 TV without Frontiers directive as per:
And also took inspiration from the Eurikon Satellite of 1982 as per:
As you can see at those links above the aim was in no small part to establish an international Television Station broadcasting Multi Lingual programmes and to
help bring unity and closeness between Countries.
The Artist behind this unique 4 Part Television Documentary Chat Show Style
project is Swedish Artist Andjeas Ejiksson and whilst putting this together somebody said to him that he had more chance of making a turtle fly than he had of getting this project off the ground and so the giant inflatable turtle was added to the mix as a metaphor and visual representation of the project having come to fruition.
Personally I also think the Turtle, especially as at one point it fly’s over the Yellow circular round disc stage is also a nod to Terry Pratchett’s Disc-World.
At one point during proceedings a Live Rooster, Duck and Goat all appear in the studio and walk around the stage whilst the onstage interviews with Actors, Actresses, Politicians and Political Activists continue within and around the madness.
Indeed during the shows the Story telling Ice Cream Vendor reveals the true events of the Rooster, Duck and Goat that were used to test the first Hot Air Balloon as per:
19th September 1783 was the first Hot Air Balloon flight with passengers and those were a Rooster, Duck and a Goat as detailed here:
Again this true life historical event is used as a metaphor about getting things off the ground and making things that seem impossible to achieve become reality.
In the video below I explain how and why I put together the Hypnotism routines that I did for my Comedy Stage Hypnotist & Performance Art Stage Hypnosis sections of
Episode Three so that they would make reference to other things that had been mentioned and visually seen in the other Episodes of the Series.
Incidentally the Four Episodes were and are made up of the Prologue and then Three Television Studio Chat Show Style programmes of which I am, except for when I am on Stage Hypnotizing people, able to be seen sat in the audience dressed as a civilian as a silent nod to my early to mid 90’s Serial Chat Show Hoaxer & Media Prankster Past as
fully explained at; www.circusofthemind.net
Also by taking a look at www.circusofthemind.net and discovering the truth about my Fake Sheikh Mazher Mahmood related Conviction that is currently being appealed and seeing the truth of how I (and others) were drugged against our will and without our knowledge and then framed and entrapped into being the “star” of one of Rupert Murdoch’s reporters fabricated stories, it becomes clear why I was the obvious choice of Hypnotist to be invited to take part in this Socio Political look at the Media, its relation and inter-relation to the world and people around us and to life in general around the world and how media can and does affect it including effects on peoples thoughts and actions.

From A Rooster, Duck and Goat appearing on stage and walking around, to a giant inflatable turtle slowing inflating during the shows and then floating around the studio as a visual sign of achieving what seemed impossible, through to an Ice Cream Vendor who is a story teller and narrates things along the way, inter weaved with probing and thought provoking interviews of Celebrities in their own fields and countries live on stage this is without doubt the most bizarre, surreal and yet exciting and mentally stimulating and thought provoking project that I have ever been involved in during my career which as a Hypnotist I started hypnotizing people for therapy purposes back in 1989 which relates to the Television Without Frontiers Directive!
QUOTED FROM THE LINK ABOVE:
“The British illusionist Jonathan Royle hypnotises some of the audience members and turns them into aliens. He proceeds to interview them about life on their planets through an audience member hypnotised into an alien interpreter. It is not only funny, but addresses questions about cosmopolitan community and language that are central to the European project.”
Although their are no Animals or Inflatable Turtles in the video above I do think this Experiment is a good visual metaphor of how staying focused and positive can help us as human beings to achieve things which many think impossible which is exactly what Swedish Artist Andjeas Ejiksson has achieved with this Television Without Frontiers Four Part Television Chat Show Style Performance Art Project which in time it is I understand intended to be distributed and broadcast around the world.
In the background of the picture above you can see some of the boxes and booths that Live Translators were sitting in during the performances as they in real time translated what everyone was saying into other languages so that events could be easily understood by anyone and everyone around the world at the same time, from Swedish, English, French, Dutch and Arabic along with many other languages, bringing people together and making things accessible for all was a key underlying message of the piece.
During the interviews with people on stage strong Social, Political and Philosophical Messages and ideas were presented and discussed giving much food for thought for all who witness this experiential immersive performance art theater piece.
As a British Born & Based illusionist och hypnotisör and also expert in Hypnose, Hipnose, Hypnotherapy, Stage Hypnotism & Comedy Stage Hypnosis & NLP I can honestly say that this was and is by far the most unique, bizarre, unusual, surreal and yet exciting and truly thought provoking & mentally stimulating project that I have ever been involved within up to now!!
