Magician & Hypnotist Jonathan Royle, aged 41 of Spotland, Rochdale, Greater Manchester, last night, Tuesday 11th October 2016, was awarded the Cabaret
Magic Trophy in the annual Comedy & Cabaret Magic Competition at England’s
third oldest Magical Society & Club, namely Manchester’s Order of the Magi.

In the picture above Jonathan who was born into a showbiz family whilst travelling
with Gandey’s Circus and made his stage debut aged 3 as Flap The Clown, can be
seen being awarded the trophy by another Rochdale Resident, current order of the
Magi club president Alan Johnston who resides close to Highfield Hospital.

His Award Winning Routine at The New Irish Heritage Centre in Manchester, started with the amazing Production of a Four Foot long sweeping brush from nowhere, A heavy bowling ball appearing from an empty bag and even a Bowling Pin being produced from an impossibly small package.

Royle then made a bottle of Whiskey Disappear, before he produced a Bottle of Wine from out of thin air whilst teaching the audience how to recite the Alphabet Backwards, proved that he had predicted what random price an audience member would decide his suit had cost and even made several large boxes of flowers appear to a comical story about his daughter Ashleigh.

It was a fast paced 15 minutes of high impact visual Magic & Illusion, which won
the Cabaret Competition Trophy 2016 for Royle, whilst the Comedy Trophy was
won by Royton Based Magician Mike Sharples who is pictured below.
