The Murdoch newspaper empire is ignoring calls to release documents which show that Mazher “Fake Sheik” Mahmood was corrupt two decades before he was finally brought to book.
After Mahmood was caught lying during the Tulisa Contostavlos trial in 2014, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) dropped three pending cases based on his evidence.
The CPS also carried out a review of 25 of his earlier convictions. These included the actor John Alford and the Magician Alex Smith aka Celebrity Hypnotist Jonathan Royle.
Alford was gaoled for nine months in 1999 after a Mahmood cocaine sting. In the same year Smith was sentenced to six months after a sting involving counterfeit coins. Both insist they were framed.
None of the convictions was quashed. Alford and Smith both failed to persuade the Court of Appeal to overturn their convictions.
But more and more evidence is emerging that Mahmood ran a criminal conspiracy that made it virtually impossible for most of his victims to get a fair trial.
The latest revelations show that police, prosecutors, the judiciary and the News of the World all knew that Mahmood was committing perjury as early as 1994 …

As shown above on 2nd May 2024, Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown has written to the head of the Metropolitan Police & Commissioner of New Scotland Yard Sir Mark Rowley requesting a meeting to discuss the Police re-opening their examination into Phone Hacking, Unlawful Information Gathering & Other ILLEGAL activities carried out by and/or under the instruction of Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers.

With a General Election Looming and to take place no later than 28th January 2025, we need Leaders of the main Political Parties to Confirm that they will Reinstate Part 2 of the Leveson Inquiry as a matter of extreme priority if and when they are elected for the reasons already laid out and for all these reasons as well

However as recently occurred with Actor Hugh Grant effectively being forced to settle his claim out of court the track record of News Group Newspapers is one that has cost them well over a Billion Pounds so far to keep people out of court and to stop such evidence being aired in open court & ruled upon by a learned Judge.
